How it Works:

  • The Sales Team / Field Force / Clients will send a SMS to the Dedicated Mobile No. connected to the Server, in a pre-designated format with specific keywords.
  • On receiving the SMS in the Mobile, TechShastra's SMS application will automatically read the request.
  • This request information will then be stored in the INBOX Table for all incoming SMS.
  • The Processing of the request would be further taken care by the Existing Back Office System.
  • Once the request is processed the reply/results are then pushed as a XML String to the URL of TechShastra's SMS Gateway Server by the Back Office System.
  • It is suggested that, the clients customize their back office system codes to read from the INBOX Table and embed a piece of code to push the XML String to the URL provided by TechShastra.

Case Study:

A leading pharmaceutical company needed to automate their large field force to simplify and improve the sales processes. Usually, the field force would call up the office and gather information which very often was quite time consuming and inaccurate. The 2 Way SMS Solution was ideal in such a situation. Whenever information was needed by a sales person, he would SMS the particular keyword to a 10 digit mobile number which was connected to a server hosting the SMS application. The application would read the incoming message and store it in the Inbox. The keyword in the message would be processed by the backend system and the necessary information would be pushed as a XML String to the SMS Gateway Server. A SMS with this information would go to the sales person from the SMS Gateway Server.
